Okay, it’s been settled in your
heart. You are a writer. It’s your purpose, it’s your gift. You have something to share with the world but you realize that you don’t know as much about writing as you should. You decide to devote time to nurturing and cultivating you craft through a course of study. You are thoroughly enjoying the writing classes you’ve enrolled in. You are learning the professional methods and techniques of things such as, point of view, dialogue, description, creating conflict, and so much more.
Your level of skill and creativity is rising to new heights; your ideas are unique and imaginative. You’ve got a style that has become marketable and your confidence increases as your fears decrease. You’ve found the recipe for success as a writer. Instruction has paid off. You’re ready for your public; ready to tackle the problems of the world; ready to receive approval.
But what about God’s approval, are you being studious when it comes to Him? Are you sitting in His classroom to receive His Divine Instruction? Are you studying His methods and techniques for living a victorious life? Courses on being fruitful, on prayer, sorrow, fear, sin, love, and the list goes on and on. What a curriculum!
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth (2 Tim 2:15 NIV).
The Christian writer who enrolls in God’s “How to Classes on Life” is the one who will write with wisdom and authority as they study God’s Word.
Be Studious
